After a month of not working on nights, I finally got around listening through the drafts I had made for the album. A few songs in and it already felt like I was listening to something familiar, too familiar. So, I decided the best thing to do was to scrap everything I had done and start from scratch.
The electronic beats and synths quickly filled up and dominated the sound spectrum, and everything just felt motionless and cold. I want something different for nights. I want constant movement, music that changes and evolves to something really strange. A living beast that doesn’t care about the listeners understanding of music structure.
Instead of a familiar song structure, I’m aiming to create segments of moods. I want this to be as raw, unexpected and acoustic as possible.
